Daily necessities

● Bedding: sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase, blanket or summer comforter。(Bed sheets and duvet covers are usually provided, depending on the hostel you book, and we recommend bringing a spare set。)

● Clothing: Singapore is a tropical climate, clothes are mainly carried in summer, T-shirts, shorts, dresses can be。Singapore indoor air conditioning temperature is low, it is recommended to bring 1-2 pieces of long sleeves。It is recommended that boys prepare a formal suit and girls prepare a small dress to wear on some formal occasions。

● Toiletries can be carried with travel clothes first。It is very convenient to buy daily necessities in Singapore, and there are large supermarkets and Watsons convenience stores within walking distance of general residential areas, which can be purchased after arriving in Singapore。

● Some students will come to Singapore to ask about the control of drugs, commonly used drugs such as: cold medicine, diarrhea medicine, fever-reducing medicine, etc., can be carried, conventional Chinese patent medicine can also be carried。When carrying medicine, keep the packaging box for inspection。

Singapore voltage is 230 volts, current frequency 50 Hz, the power plug is the British standard, and the domestic voltage of 220V is not the same, so to carry a power converter, it is recommended to carry a strip at the same time。

Public transport is widely available in Singapore, and fares can be paid in cash or with an EZ-linkCard, which also offers certain discounts。Transportation costs for students are around S $100 per month。It should be noted that Singapore's bus and subway fare is divided, and students need to punch in and out of the bus, or enter and exit the subway station when using the E-Link card。

Leave: Attendance cannot be less than 90%

According to experts in Singapore, the Immigration Department of Singapore requires international students to have a class attendance rate of no less than 90% per month, otherwise they will be refused when renewing their visas。If students need to leave due to illness during the study period, they should apply to the head of the school and provide the sick leave certificate issued by the regular medical students。Anyone who takes leave or returns home for more than 60 days must re-apply to the Immigration Department of Singapore after the expiration of their student visa and cannot apply for an extension。
